Mr K B Tan is real estate agent in Singapore AT21 Properties Pte Ltd. In the early 1960, as a young entrepreneur as car and hire purchase salesman, he went over to Malaysia to setup United Keng Soon Finance Sdn Bhd which was founded in the early 1969. United Keng Soon Finance Sdn Bhd is a license finance company in Malaysia doing hire purchase on vehicles. It was one of the leading hire purchase finance company in Malaysia at that time. United Keng Soon Finance Sdn Bhd was later bought over by Supreme Corporate Bhd where he is the director after the takeover. With his entrepreneurship he later went on to set up a few more companies selling electronics goods like the popular Philip, Toshiba and Akai and fast food restaurant Popeye throughout the whole of Malaysia.
Mr K B Tan has over 30 years of experience in real estate. In the 1980s he moved back to Singapore to start his 30 years in the real estate industry. He joined Kenwood Real Estate Pte Ltd in 1980 and later Nationwide Pte Ltd as an Associate Director dealing in commercial properties. In his years in Kenwood, he has closed numerous big deals like that of sale of a lands owned by JTC worth more than S$60 Million. He was the one of the leading agent in Kenwood Real Estate Pte Ltd for numerous years. In the early 1990s he then moved on to concentrate on retail shops in Lucky Plaza Singapore, Far East Plaza and Sim Lim Square. He made a name for himself in all these shopping centers as most of the owners know and heard of him. The latest deal that he sealed was 22 units of shops in Sim Lim Square for S$35 million. He also setup his own consultancy firm in 1999 helping owners and buyers to add value to their properties to sell for a higher price or get better returns from their investments. Even with age catching up with him, his enthusiasm and passion in his work has not drop and his entrepreneurship is still growing strong. In 2014 he started PropNavi Pte Ltd to help real estate agents in Singapore to advertise their property listing from a mobile app.
